202 stainless steel is one of the 200 series of stainless steel, gb model is 1Cr18Mn8Ni5N. 202 stainless steel is widely used in building decoration, municipal engineering, highway guardrail, hotel facilities, shopping malls, glass handrails, public facilities and other places.It is made by high-precision automatic pipe making equipment through self-dissolution welding, roll-forming, and welding by filling gas protection (inside and outside of the pipe) without any metal filler.

202 stainless steel is one of the 200 series stainless steel.

The machinability of grade 202 stainless steel produces long, gummy chips. Machining can also be performed in the annealed condition. For heat treatment, the material has to be soaked at 1038°C (1900°F) for 30 min and cooled below 16°C (60°F) for full martensite transformation. The material can be welded by common fusion and resistance methods; however, this steel should not be joined using oxyacetylene welding method. The recommended filler metal is AWS E/ER630. Forging can be done by pre-soaking for 1 h at 1177°C (2150°F).

Although this austenitic alloy is a precipitation hardened metal, the 202 Stainless Steel Welded Tubes work well even in conditions where the temperatures are really low. Several carbon or alloy steels tend to crack when used in low temperatures, as the media tends to expand, leading to intermolecular forces applying pressure on the pipes. This pressure in low temperature environments could cause regular pipes to crack, thus leading to failure in the entire processing unit.
